It's true that there are some tried and true styles and techniques for teaching, but the education world is ever changing. One thing we can do to be the best teachers we can be for our kids and keep up with the changing face of education is to read. While you may not have tons of spare time (and would really like some time to relax with that little spare time that you do have), it's a great goal to try to pick up some professional reading from time to time.
